                    | Alongside her own artistic career Elizabeth
                        Swinburne plays an active role in other aspects of the
                        glass world. This ranges from acting as juror on International
                        competitions to providing an international perspective
                        on the Board of GAS and the Ebeltoft Glasmusem. Waterford
                          Crystal She has also acted as a freelance consultant
                            for industry. Her most recent project was a joint partnership
                            with Irish engineering consultant, Una Parsons for
                            Waterford Crystal. Brought in initially to suggest
                            a summer programme of events with artists to be based
                            in the factory in Ireland . The pair developed a programme
                            of workshops for the Waterford craftsmen which was
                            designed to develop and extend their technical skills
                            and to introduce new approaches to the factory environment. 
                        North Lands Creative Glass   From 1999 until the end of 2003 Elizabeth was the Artistic
                        and Technical director of North Lands Creative Glass.
                        A private glass centre based in Caithness , Scotland
                        . Swinburne was responsible for planning and organising
                        a yearly conference and a series of masterclasses. During
                        her four years she also planned and coordinated the move
                        and equiping of the Centre into a newly renovated buildings.  |  |  |  |
